"Waterproof" means that the material is impervious or unaffected by water. However, leather and all animal skin products are porous, and even with a sealant, the leather materials cannot be made waterproof without severely compromising the leather quality.
CruiserWorks™ boots are made of premium full-grain leather and are chemically treated to be weather-resistant.
Untreated leather will soak up water and stains, but our CruiserWorks™ boots are weather-resistant and have been treated and processed so that they will resist water and can withstand wet conditions. This weather-resistant treatment will prolong the life of your CruiserWorks™ boots and will keep them supple over time.
