Commando Boots
I'd love to see a return of the Commando style boot. I wore out 2 pairs previously (and several re-soles) and am desparate for another pair. Absolutely the best and most comfortable boot I've ever worn; so comfortable I wore them every day, year around. Any response by the company would be appreciated.

I'm sure others have mentioned it but I see none of the boots are advertised as waterproof anymore. Too many problems and too many returns or just safer to tout them as water resistant?

RE:Commando Boots

Jlperterson

We are testing a new Commando style boot now. I personally love it. I wear them 2-3 times per week. We will determine 2013 production by October. Maybe I should take a picture and post of for you to see??? Interested?

Waterproof………….. NO, not an issue of returns OR problems. Here’s the deal………

·        Legally, NOT waterproof. ONLY Gortex or Symtex lined boots can be called “waterproof” (W.L Gore & Assoc v. Totes- 1992)………..Sorry- Old banker in me likes to be factual

·        PRACTICALLY, YES…………….. We have thousands of happy and DRY customers from law enforcement, cruisers and independent folks.

Check out Facebook and website “testimonials” and THEY will tell you the real deal. We have a video from a customer who lives in rain forest of central America and customers with 200,000 miles on boots that are DRY AS A BONE.

RE:Commando Boots
For the love of god bring back the commando boots. I love those things.my pair have lasted  me through a marriage (7 years)  and many resoles. The soles are literally falling off and i stopped wearing them.
The 10 1/2 i ordered needed to be stretched a bit so I think i ordered a size a little to narrow or something. Keeping that in mind if Cruiserworks likes, as a guy that rides everyday to/from work and works in an office setting I will gladly test them into the ground and report back on how they hold up under the insane heat and sun of the desert southwest.

RE:Commando Boots
Baron,

We are looking at a hybrid of the Commando boots. I have asked for several sizes for the new boot being developed and if they send that size, I'll be happy to send you a pair to test.
Currently, my 19 year old son is wearing a pair of size 12's on a mission trip in Guatemala. I am hoping that if he can work in perpetual mud and rain for 10 days, stay dry and comfortable, that should be a good test of the boot.
We'll see!!!

RE:Commando Boots
Skip,

Put me in line to test a pair of Commando's if you'd like as well. I average 20,000 miles/year on a 1998 Harley with 206,000 miles on it at  present. My previous 2 pair of Commando's were worn as my everyday footwear for several years and I resoled my last pair again and now my youngest son is wearing them every time he rides. If you ever need customer feedback in the form of an article please let me know; I've been a free-lance motojournalist for several years. I'm most definately in your corner on motorcycle gear. Although I let my patience slip and recently purchased a pair of your Classic's I  would still like to know when your Commando's become available.

RE:Commando Boots
WOW- that's serious riding!!!
I spoke to my 19 year old son, who is wearing our proposed "Commando" replacement, last night.
He is in Guatemala on a mission trip and I asked him to wear them as it's wet, humid, rain forest muddy and he is doing construction work............. thought it would be a great test of the boot.
When we spoke, he said they were dry as a bone and felt great.
I asked him to send some pictures and he said he'd try if he could get wifi to work from his location.
I'll add you to the list for next round of test boots.
